To promote Leeds Met’s performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana I produced this poster. It’s based on the ‘Wheel of Fortuna’ which was used on the cover of the score. Jonathan Barnbrook’s typeface ‘Nylon’ was used for the main header.
The musical composition was based on a medieval collection of poems. These manuscripts contained many beautiful illustrations and I spent a lot of time researching these before creating the artwork for this piece.
